Hazelnut field day

Description: Two stops: The Savanna Institute will give a tour of their brand new North Farm near Spring Green. This working agroforestry farm has a brand new hazelnut planting. Our afternoon host, Paul Ronsheim, will give us a tour of his mature hazelnut planting and talk about his more than ten years of experience growing hazelnuts. We'll also tour his DIY de-husking set up. A mechanical harvester will also be on-site so you can see what kind of equipment is used for machine harvesting.
