The list of finalists for the Wisconsin Technology Council’s 2025 Wisconsin Innovation Awards includes three companies with ties to the University of Wisconsin-Madison College of Engineering.
C-Motive Technologies, co-founded by Electrical and Computer Engineering Professor Dan Ludois and alumnus Justin Reed (MSEE ’07, PhDEE ’14), is commercializing high-efficiency electrostatic motor technology.
Realta Fusion, whose co-founders include Nuclear Engineering and Engineering Physics faculty Oliver Schmitz and Ben Lindley, continues to develop compact fusion energy systems.
