Ubicept, a company with its foundational technology developed at University of Wisconsin-Madison and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, has been selected as one of two winners in the inaugural TitletownTech Startup Draft, securing a $1 million investment from the Green Bay–based venture capital firm.
According to TitletownTech, “the TitletownTech Startup Draft, launched in February, attracted nearly 1,000 applications from startups across almost all 50 states, spanning key industries such as advanced manufacturing, energy, supply chain, digital health, water, and sports.”
The selection of Ubicept highlights the vital role of the Universities of Wisconsin in driving innovation in Wisconsin and beyond. The direct link to research and development originating at UW-Madison highlights the university’s strength in translating academic discoveries into real-world solutions.
